Thanksgiving in Utah

So here's a glimpse of all the fun we had over the Thanksgiving break down at my parent's house in Utah. It was good weather for most of the week, and we had fun out in the backyard with Ethan. There was lots of good food to be had --and not just on Thursday. We made our famous egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice for everyone on Wednesday. The only problem was that it took about 2 1/2 hours to make. It was worth the wait though. My sister Heather also made some super good pizza on Friday night. Thanksgiving morning, to get out of the kitchen, we went outside and rode on the go-cart. Ethan loved it. Dinner was great, but ethan wouldn't eat anything but the rolls. After we ate, we shared some Thanksgiving cheer with some horses down the road. My sister Julie and her family were also there celebrating with us.
On Saturday night we had a small dinner with some extended family for my sister Jessica who was having her farewell that weekend (She's now in the MTC going to the Munich Germany and Austria Mission ). It was fun to see some of my cousins and Ethan enjoyed having more kids around. We used the gymnasium at the church next door, but Ethan wouldn't run around on the shiny floors because the reflection of the lights on the floor made him nervous. What a weird kid. He kind of got used to it when there were enough kids to distract him. We played with some glow-in-the-dark balls in the multipurpose room as well. The kids thought it was cool. That night Ethan got together with his cousin, Dillon, who is about a month and a half older than him and had some fun. There were a few conflicts, but after a while, Ethan was even comfortable enough with him to give him a hug. We also had to add a few movies of Dillon because he was so funny . . . one of him scaring people, one of him helping put the tables away at the church, and another of him playing dead. Overall it was a great Holiday. Thanks everyone! especially Mom!
