A rainy day in the park, more animals, and the trouble maker

Hi all, sorry it's been a while, but we don't get internet access very often.  Here's a look at what we've been up to.

So, for Memorial Day, Richard's parents decided to come up and take us for a ride through Teton Nat'l Park.  His mom has a season pass, otherwise we couldn't afford to go.  We also went to the new visitor's center near moose junction. It was raining, like it has been for the past week and a half, but maybe that's what made our trip so successful.  You'll also probably see some more of these videos on Grampa Sam's blog.

The first pictures are at the visitor's center.  It's kind of like a museum,  and as if it were just another one of the exhibits, a moose decided to park itself right outside the window.  Just a few minutes after we left there, we came upon another moose, but this one had a special little wobbly bundle of  joy with it. I wish we could have stayed longer, but there was nowhere to park on the bridge.  The last  success on the video (although it was the first big sighting) was just outside the park --just after the little booths where you show your pass.  They think it is one of the three little grizzly cubs from last Summer. Now, it's on its own . . . and not so little.  Anyway, even though it was pouring the whole time, it was a grand adventure!  We're so glad we got to go. Thank you Scott and Shauna!

As if that wasn't enough, yesterday I was looking out the window of our apartment and saw a 

big great blue heron just across the river.  

I ran downstairs to take a picture, and when I looked up, there were two deer standing in the middle of the river! 

 They were two bucks, and though they're antlers

 were in the velvet, you can tell they're going to be nice sized ones later on.  It's so cool to have wild animals right here in our back yard.  Just this morning even I was up at 5:30 to take my medicine and I just happened to look out the bathroom window and saw a beaver pushing it's way up the river just outside.

Anyway, while we're on the subject of animals . . . our little creature has found himself new ways of getting into trouble now that he's more mobile, and I'm sure this is just the beginning. (You knew you couldn't get away without another Ethan movie. Richard just loves making these montages.)

Yes, he did these all by himself.  He even just walked out into the rain on his own, but quickly decided he didn't like it.  Some of the pictures were taken out in front of Richard's parents' house in Rexburg. We went there the weekend before last because I had a dentist appointment.  I won't go into the grisly details, we'll just say that it was the last of three appointments taking care of 5 cavities and a crown.  YUCK!  Adding insult to injury, we could have bought another macbook (or countless other things) with the money it cost for me to go through all that pain and agony.  Goodbye stimulus check. As if that wasn't bad enough, I was also sick.  In fact I managed to get everyone there in Rexburg sick as well.  By the way, never go to the family practice clinic in Jackson.  

     On a lighter note, Life is good. We've just been settling into life here in Jackson, working, going for walks, and having fun with the bike trailer.  We can ride it on the bike path from our back yard straight to Smith's in 5 min or less. The other day we went on the bikes and picked up some fresh bakery bread rolls as well as some other groceries, stuffed them in the trailer with Ethan and came back to have a barbecue of Polish sausages. It was a lot of fun, and beautiful weather!
