So, Today I Decided to just go chop off my hair. I was sick of Ethan pulling it, I was sick of how heavy and hot it was, and I was really sick of what a mess it's making since the thyroid medicine is making my hair fall out. Anyway, I didn't tell Richard I was going to chop it all off. He thought I was just going to get it trimmed. In fact I hadn't really decided either. I called around this morning, and happened to find a place that would normally charge $25, but if I donated it they would do it for free. So, I went for it. Shauna watched Ethan, and it all happened in about an hour. Snip snip. All gone.
Actually, I really like it. I don't know if I'll be able to do it quickly, but it was about time I spent some time on myself anyway. Here's the before and after pictures

By the way, Ethan didn't recognize me right off, in fact he was a little freaked out.

I love the new hairdo!! It's totally cute. Don't worry I have done that before and Hunter didn't recognize me either. It's so funny to remember now.
It looks fabulous and you can totally pull it off because you have gorgeous hair. You didn't mention what Richard's reaction was though. Is he one of those "only likes long hair" guys?
Richard always says he likes long hair better. He texted me when he saw the blog while on campus. This was his exact text.
"WOW! Im looking at your haircut on the blog. I really like it! ...i was afraid i wouldnt. Cant wait to see it in real life."
He reassures me that he does like it in real life, but he also wants me to grow it out --even if it's just to chop it off again. I've always said I wanted to see how many times I could donate my hair in my life time, and this makes number three for me.
Love the hair. Can I be one of those "love long hair guys" and also "love short hair" guys?
It's the women I love not the just the hair. But enough of the philosophy.

I love that Richard saw your hair on the blog before in real life. Is it because you are so fast to blog or because you don't see him often?
I put it on the blog before he came home from school that day. He treats school as a job, and stays on campus from 6:15 in the morning to 4:30 most days sometimes later. Then he can come home and be completely free for me and Ethan.
I love the haircut. I'm a fan of short hair and I wish mine could look half as cute as yours, you cute, hip little Mama!
Your hair is beautiful long and short. I think it's fun to have a change, especially with summer right around the corner, right?
